Events is a form of storytelling, perhaps the most visceral and memorable way to tell the story of your brand and product. More so, events are a DYNAMIC STORY, meaning it has flow and back and forth. They’re conversations, rather than statements.

OUR SIGNATURE OFFERING

Dinner & Dialogue

This time of pause has brought to light a lot of the excess and flimsy front of false metrics (clicks! likes!)  that have become the normal in lots of experiential events.

Over the past year and a half, we’ve been developing what we think is a better, more authentic, more powerful way to connect with clients: through conversation, dialogue, and the opportunity to move past the flashy backdrops and into a more rooted world of storytelling.

For this exact reason, it feels perfectly time to unveil our signature offering: Dinner and Dialogue. 

When we eventually move into a time that small events can be reinstated, we’re encouraging our clients to take advantage of the opportunity to connect on a more human level with their attendees. 

This offering includes our consulting on aspects of storytelling beyond event production and design: 

  • dialing into a deeper event purpose

  • attendee insight

  • pinpointing where your brand can display more vulnerability and authenticity

  • development of thought-provoking conversation points

TIPS & TRICKS

Implementing even a few of these elements into your virtual event will help with guest engagement.

Virtual events are about being: thoughtful, intentional, and specific.

 
  • Set the tone with your invitation — clarity is kindess, moreso now than ever! Let people know what to expect so they 1 can come prepared and can more quickly acclimate to the event and get to the good stuff.


  • Raise the stakes by engaging your guests before they even “enter the room.” Challenge them to prepare for the event by bringing something to the table — a backdrop that supports your story, a fun fact, their favorite quarantine cocktail. Move them from passive to particpating players.


  • Atmosphere matters. Engage your guests by setting the tone of your event by sending them lighting, recipes, play- lists and florals before the event. Atmosphere creates the right mindset and the right mood for your attendees.


  • Keep some of the stalwart traditions of a good event by carving out time for people to connect. Structure your time- line so people can chat during “cocktail” hour, and con- sider changing up the backgrounds for your hosts as the event progresses -- fresh scenery keeps guests’ attention.


  • Your host must play a bigger role than ever. They must be great facilitators, storytellers and engagers. Diversify the way your host(s) interacts between storytelling, Q&A, and the facilitator of the timeline.


  • This is a time to be high-touch. It’s your responsibility to help nurture new relationships so your conversation can continue long after the Zoom window closes. Can you connect some like-minded people by email afterward? Can you sponsor a follow-up cocktail or coffee between people? Provide the service of connection and you’ll reap the rewards tenfold.
