Event Design & Creative Direction




Rye Workshop is looking for a creative, motivated and good-vibes person to join our team as a Design and Relationship Manager! 


We are looking for a Design and Relationship Manager to work directly with our clients in the design and execution of events that are authentic, awesome and inimitable. This is a creative, design role.

The right candidate will be collaborative, intrinsically motivated, willing to both learn and teach, and excited to push the envelope.

To be successful, applicants should be willing to work directly with clients, have 5+ years of event design experience, be excited to manage a small team, give direction with kindness and clarity, be adept at Adobe Creative Suite, know or be willing to learn Google Presentation, have event connections and be able to  produce floorplans, mockups and design boards with savvy and ease. A knowledge of flowers is a plus, but an appreciation is a must.

Manages: Junior Designers, Design Freelancers

START DATE: Immediate, with a 6-week training/ trial period.

Rye Workshop is an event design company with a focus on brands that are looking to connect with their customers on a human level.   • Client Sales

    • This role requires you to be the primary client contact through the design process, from initial inquiry through the sending of the final invoice.

  • Relationship Development

    • You’ll work with the creative director to explore collaborations, pop-ups and cross-pollinating with brands from all kinds of fields


  • Client Management

    • You must work well with clients while also managing their expectations. As a Rye Workshop representative, we hold you the highest of standards for communication, authenticity and being the most helpful person in the room.

  • Develop and Manage Project Budgets

    • This role works closely with the Creative Director to create and manage project budgets, including both materials and personnel costs.

  • Team Management

    • In this role at Rye Workshop, we’ll develop you into leader of a small creative team. The right candidate will work well with freelancers, junior designers and part time design help from a variety of backgrounds.

  • Design Lead

    • This is a design role. You’ll be developing Proposals, creating floorplans, sourcing materials and managing the overall look and feel of the events.


  • Manage and master the design deliverables

    • Includes Design One Sheeters, Project Proposals, mockups, sketches, floorplans and more.

  • Execution

    • You’ll work closely with the Production Manager to create the Run of Show, oversee team roles leading up to and during the event, and be the primary contact for the client the day of the event.
